Conversations With : Donna

Jewelry, textiles, and home furnishings- let's see what Donna has to say about spring!

Q. Spring is here! Can you give us a little overview of the new assortment?

A. It's floral and feminine with the right amount of fashion and frill.

Q. Why do you think it's important as a consumer to purchase items that are handmade?

A. It carries on traditions and opens doors to consumers to explore the beauty and bounty of other countries and cultures. It gives back to the community by providing jobs and education. Handmade is a purchase with a purpose.

Q. What are some examples of handmade items from spring that really have a great story behind them?

A. Our Watercolor Textiles and Accessories are hand crafted by farming villagers in Vietnam using centuries old techniques. From the harvesting of the silk to the Shibori methods used to create the textural crinkles in each piece, this labor of love helps to sustain the livelihood of the communities.

Q. Spring is always so fresh and vivid, whether it's color or floral patterns... Can you suggest the best new products that exemplify this feeling?

A. Our collection of whimsical, handmade Metal Mesh Pins ranging from poppies to dragonflies are a stylish ode to spring, as are the Spring Garden Shawl and bold Butterfly Printed Silk Scarf

Q. What do we have to look forward to for fall? Can you give us a taste of what to expect?

A. There is always a lot of buzz around the office about fall. It's an exciting time for us being that we are surrounded by a plethora of beautiful products. Some of the new items include a uniquely selected assortment of textiles for your home, lighting that ranges from mini stained glass lanterns to classic stained glass creations, richly colored silk scarves and accessories, lavishly accented and handmade glass decor, and the list goes on and on. You'll have to stay tuned for more.

Thanks Donna!
