How it's Made : Murano Glass Love Birds

Birds of a feather stick together, as they say. Handmade in Italy and finely detailed, our beautiful Murano Glass Love Birds are eternally locked in love. We are pleased to give you a peek into how these graceful glass creatures are made!

The birds and branch, symbolizing love, loyalty and mutual respect, are created with a lampwork technique. Lampworking is a long-established method of glasswork in Murano where the glass is melted using a flame. The sculpture is then expertly mouth blown into shape and preciously finished. Each and every one-of-a-kind piece is then signed by the artist, some of which have over 50 years of experience.
